Our anger management treatments and courses can help you develop new coping strategies and ways to remain calm and relaxed which can help you to rid yourself of any feelings of frustration and anger you experience.
Why do you get angry?
Feelings of anger are not a deliberate action but arise due to how your subconscious mind interprets certain situations. Everyone has their own triggers for their anger to rise, but some common ones include situations in which you may feel:
Whether your anger relates to something that has happened in the past or something that's going on right now, gaining an understanding to your mind's interpretations can help you to learn how to cope with your emotions better and has an added benefit of helping you to find productive strategies to handle your anger.
Frustrated or powerless
Like you're being treated unfairly or being belittled
You’re not being listened to
Using a mixture of therapies, you will be helped to develop sustainable anger management skills and lasting results to manage situations with a calmer more rational approach.
In order to offer you the best solutions to overcome your feelings of anger and frustration, we need to approach the triggers to your anger from every positive angle and perspective that we have available to us.
Anger management therapy that gets results
Successful anger management is not about trying to 'keep a lid on it' or keeping your mouth shut. This only build up the tensions within you, only to come out with more intensity at a later time.
Successful anger management comes about when you are able to understand your triggers and to catch them before they bite. Our anger and conflict management sessions will teach you the skills to recognise that you are frustrated or angry and to be able to observe your thoughts wiuthout reacting to them.
Helping you to change how you respond to situations
Paul offers a combination of therapies to take back control from how you respond to situations. These therapies include counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy and mindfulness approaches.
" I have to say Paul, as I said in my previous e-mail, that you have helped me tremendously and for that I am eternally grateful. I can’t remember the last time I felt so positive and light in mood.
Dear Paul. Thank you for your help. When I came away from each session I was, (and remain) very motivated. Thank you. M.W. Borehamwood.

We use 3 therapies to help people develop effective anger management solutions. These are counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy and mindfulness approaches.
How does CBT for anger management work?
Our CBT sessions for anger management work to identify and challenge the negative thinking patterns and interpretations made which then trigger the anger response. CBT skills will help you to be able to take a mental step back and rationalise the thoughts you are having about a situation. This in turn will help how you change how you respond.
Mindfulness to manage the physical feelings of anger
Our mindfulness sessions to work on managing the physical feelings that anger produces work very effectively when combined with CBT. Our experience shows that people struggle with the feelings that anger produces.
Mindfulness works by helping the sufferer to create a relaxed and settled frame of mind.
Anger is completely treatable. Our approach to therapy will help you manage the triggers to your anger response in achievable steps. With each successful step, you will develop the confidence to move forward.
Anger management counselling
Our counselling sessions for anger management. The early stages of anger management counselling aim to help you talk about the triggers to your anger outbursts. This stage will help you to make sense of the triggers to your feelings of frustration and anger and help to develop goals and solutions.
We teach people how to 'front' the feelings of anger rather than running with them. With continued exposure practice, sufferers of negative anger learn to respond to situations in a more positive way
